“Education is evolving due to the impact of the Internet. We cannot teach our students in the same manner in which we were taught. Change is necessary to engage students not in the curriculum we are responsible for teaching, but in school. Period.”
~ April Chamberlain
The problem is not teaching kids anymore; it is keeping them entertained. With all of screens around them they are easily distracted. Many efforts in introducing technology in education have been sucessful, and this is a new one. Not only can you learn a programming lanuage, Python, you can learn to build and troubleshoot problems in the real world with the help of the Lego EV3.
This program is a simple Java Application that you download to your Mac, and run over bluetooth to your EV3. It requires no alterations of the EV3's operating system.
Use our specially built programing language to program a Lego EV3. It follows the same rules as Python, a well documented coding language, so there is plenty of help online.
Run it and see what it does! If you are not satisfied, go back to your computer and change it! Possibly one of the best ways to learn to troubleshoot!
